The White Rabbit Fine Art Gallery is proud to announce the addition of local artist Crystal K. Knope to the Gallery. She is retired from the School District of Greenville, where she taught art at Beck Academy Middle School and Hillcrest High School. Mrs. Knope’s formal training started at Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida and continued with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University, a Masters Degree in Art Education from Boston University and an MFA Degree in Drawing and Painting from Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Influenced early in her life by her mother, landscape painter Pat Kingsbury, Knope always knew her career would involve the visual arts. Much of her painting revolves around nature and local landscapes. Crystal currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina with her husband, John, and their family of three dogs. The legacy of the arts in her family continues with her children. One son is an accomplished cartoonist, the other a musician and her granddaughter is already displaying interest and talent in visual arts.
A reception will be held at the White Rabbit Fine Art Gallery in Travelers Rest on Fri., Feb. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to welcome Knope to the Gallery.
Admission is free and it is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
