YMCA waives joining fees through end of month

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – From now through the end of April, the George I. Theisen YMCA in Travelers Rest is waiving joining fees for any new member. Depending on the type of membership, the fees normally range from $50 - $100.

Facilities and benefits of membership at the George I. Theisen YMCA, located off McElhaney Road in Travelers Rest, include: a weight room, featuring free weights and weight machines, recumbent bikes, stairmasters, and treadmills; outdoor basketball; aerobics/fitness classes, including body combat, yoga and zumba; reduced rates on youth and family programs; personal trainers (additional fee); free fitness assessments; free child watch for parents with young children; and 95 acres of land.

New members can also participate in the YMCA Wellness Works program. Wellness Works is a free, customized wellness program – fitness analysis, fitness coaching,nutrition counseling and continuing education – tailored to your needs. It provides a blueprint for balanced living and is free to all Y members ages 13 and up.
