Saturday's Farmers Market to feature Scottish Games preview

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — The Travelers Rest Farmers Market will host a Scottish Games preview during this Saturday's market.

In addition to the approximately 75+ regular, weekly vendors, the city of Greenville Pipes and Drums band will be in full regalia as they march at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., and Miss Greenville Scottish Games and Miss Teen Greenville Scottish Games will make appearances throughout the day. Scottish Games organizers will also be on site for a meet and greet so market-goers can get an inside look into what goes on behind the scenes at the annual Scottish Games, scheduled for Sat., May 27 at Furman University.

In addition to the Scottish Games highlights, other market happenings include Market Music with John Martin, a Highlands Cow craft and a wooden bubble machine for kids, and yoga with Ali Teaslink from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the amphitheater.

The Travelers Rest Farmers Market runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Trailblazer Park, located at 235 Trailblazer Dr. (formerly Wilhelm Winter Road).

No pets or smoking are allowed at Trailblazer Park.
