Logothetis rode a motorcycle around the world, accepting only the kindness of others as his means of accomplishing his goal. Event organizers are hoping his story will inspire area residents to practice random acts of kindness, "paying it forward" and sharing stories of kindness. (Visit for more information.)

"I've seen a lot of bad things on the job, but I've also seen how kindness can truly change lives," said event organizer TRPD Capt. Randy Fisher. "The world is broken, lets be the ones to spread kindness and be part of the solution and not the problem."

Logothetis will speak at Travelers Rest City Hall (6711 State Park Rd.) beginning at 10 a.m. on Mon., May 1.

Note: The event is free, but RSVPs are requested so as to ensure that there is enough space for attendees.
