Results: Devildog Track & Field at Riverside HS

GREER, S.C. — Congratulations to the Travelers Rest High School boys' and girls' track and field teams as they competed well at the Greenville/Spartanburg Relays Saturday at Riverside High School.

In the girls' meet, the defending Region 2-AAA champions finished in fifth place with 41 points. Individually, sophomore Bailey Banks took second place in the discus, while senior Alivia Waynick finished in sixth place in the shot put. Junior Sadie McKinney finished in eighth place in the discus. Sophomore Dani Russell finished in eighth place in the long jump, while freshman Olivia Huskey took fifth place in the high jump. In the relays, the Devildogs finished in eighth place in the 6400-Relay and seventh place in the 800 Sprint Medley.

In the boys' meet, the Devildogs finished in 11th place with 17 points. Freshman Derrick Fields and junior Jennings Huskey led the way by finishing in third and sixth place in the high jump, respectively. The Devildogs took seventh place in the 3200-Relay, sixth in the 6400-Relay and eighth in the 800 Sprint Medley.

The Devildogs will be back in action Wednesday at Eastside High School. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
