COLUMBIA, S.C. — The third time proved to be the charm for Travelers Rest High School senior Kelsey White-Kennedy as she won the Class AAAA State Championship in the 100 Hurdles Saturday at Spring Valley High School. White-Kennedy, who finished second and fourth in the 100 Hurdles during her sophomore and junior seasons, claims the Devidlogs' first state track title since Will Ford won the 100 in 2005.
The Travelers Rest girl's team finished in eighth place with 38 points. The Devildogs' eighth-place finish tied the school's best finish from 2015; however, their 38 points set a new high for points at a state meet.
