GREENVILLE, S.C. – A new internet-based, interactive map and mobile app of the Greenville Hospital System Swamp Rabbit Trail gives walkers, runners, and cyclists greater ease in finding everything from ATM's to bathrooms to parking places along the popular 13.5 mile route that connects Travelers Rest to Greenville.
Developed by the City of Greenville GIS Division with support from the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Greenville County Recreation District, the map's purpose is to aid everyone – from out-of-town visitors interested in experiencing the Swamp Rabbit to regular trail users – by providing useful trip-planning information.
The map's contents include public parking locations, restrooms, trail caution areas, points of interest, downtown ATM's and bike racks, water fountains, and nature trails .
The map is especially content-rich inside the City of Greenville, featuring photos, IPIX 360 degree images, and audio at select locations.
