TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – On Friday, Travelers Rest High School held the annual powderpuff football games as a prelude to the spring football game that followed.
In the first game, the sophomores took advantage of interceptions and fumbles to take a 20-0 win over the freshmen. The second game pitted the juniors against the seniors and remained scoreless after two halfs, but the seniors took the 14-12 win in double overtime.
At halftime of the spring football game, the sophomore and senior powderpuff teams played for the championship. Sara Dorsett took two interceptions back for touchdowns, giving the sophomores a 12-0 lead in the first half.
