Gap Creek Gourmet: Cool off with a cone from T.R.'s Trailside Creamery

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – It's super-duper hot outside which makes for good business at Trailside Creamery. The little ice cream shop is one of the many new businesses opening on and around Main Street in Travelers Rest, and it's one of my daughter's favorite stops for an afternoon snack. I gotta say, I kinda dig it too! The ice cream is thick and the creamiest soft serve I've ever eaten.

There is a limited selection of options, but the place gets a big two thumbs up for their two rotating flavors. This week it was peach and blackberry! They always have vanilla and chocolate and can swirl two flavors together if you want to mix things up. There are also some fixins', like candies and coconut, as well as a few ongoing specials.

My daughter raves about Jenn's lemon ice cream, and though it wasn't on her flavor menu this week, she said it was on tap for next week. Guess what that means? We shall return. One thing is for sure, we gobbled up our peach ice cream with happy faces...
