On Friday, school officials in Greenville County announced dates when students will make up time missed because of winter weather.
The district said that students have missed five days so far this school year because of snow and ice. Four happened this week and the other happened on Dec. 16, when ice coated many roadways in Greenville County.
Officials said that students will use three snow days already built into the school calendar, April 1 and 4 and June 2, to make up some of the days. They said principals will be consulted to determine when the remaining two days will be made up.
Athletic games and events scheduled for Friday, January 14, are postponed until Saturday, January 15. These events will be held between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Each school will determine times.
