Mary Kindness Moon Waters, 96 - Greenville

Mary Kindness Moon Waters, 96, of Greenville, wife of the late Louie Alexander Waters, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her home surrounded by her children.

Born in the Highland Community of Northern Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Marcus Bunyan and Lillie Ann Wooten Moon. Mrs. Waters was a retired seamstress with area textiles and a member of Rutherford Road Baptist Church.

Surviving are four children, James L. Waters, Jerry A. Waters (Shannon), Brynda Sizemore Brown (Bo) and Jimmy D. Waters; 5 grandchildren, Connie Southerlin (Dennis), Tei Tober (Chad), Sherry Cantrell, Sabrina Bayha (Steve) and Kathy Willis (Brad); 7 great grandchildren, Justin Southerlin, Brittany Gilreath, Tye B. Cantrell, B. Cord Cantrell, Chandler Willis, Cason Willis, Cameron Bayha and Darby Bayha and 2 great great grandchildren, Ethan C. Cantrell and Skylan Gilreath.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son, Robert L. Waters; 2 grandsons, Jeff Waters and Christopher Mark Waters; 2 daughters-in-law, Audrey Waters & Joyce Waters; a son-in-law, Sparkie Sizemore; 3 brothers, Joe Moon, William “Bill” Moon and Ray Moon and 3 sisters, Inez Finch, Agnes Tate and Lucille Fowler.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Sunday evening at The Howze Mortuary.

The family will be at the home.
