GREENVILLE, S.C. — Two teenagers were killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Friday afternoon, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

The wreck happened on Roe Ford Road near the intersection of Stablechase Drive around 2:30 p.m.

Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans said 19-year-old Timothy Michael Arrowood, of Travelers Rest, lost control of the 2001 BMW he was driving, leaving the roadway and hitting several trees.

Arrowood and a female passenger, 17-year-old Josey Macala Cox, of Greenville, were killed in the wreck. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

According to multiple social media posts, Arrowood and Cox went to Travelers Rest High School, although neither attended the school at the time of the crash. Arrowood reportedly graduated last year.

The wreck is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Arrowood and Cox were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, Evans said.
