James “PeeWee” Alvin Merrell, 71 - Travelers Rest

James “PeeWee” Alvin Merrell, 71, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his home.

Born in Travelers Rest, he was a son of the late Herman H. and Mary Linderman Merrell. He worked in construction, and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Shirley Merrell; two sons: Mark Merrell (Lisa), and Todd Merrell; and two grandchildren: Chelsea and A.J. Merrell.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one sister and one brother.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
