Landrum High student killed in northern Greenville County wreck
LANDRUM, S.C. – A 17-year-old Landrum High School student was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in northern Greenville County Wednesday morning, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
Coroner B. Parks Evans said Jordan Thomas Skyler Powell was traveling east on Hwy. 11 near Dill Road when his vehicle left the roadway, striking several trees.
Evans said Powell, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, was ejected from his Honda Civic and died on the scene. He had just left his home and was on his way to school.
The wreck is being investigated by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
