Business Beat: T&S Brass expands Shanghai operation

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Travelers Rest-based T&S Brass and Bronze Works, a manufacturer of commercial plumbing and foodservice equipment, has opened a new Shanghai production and distribution facility located at No. 43 Jinwen Road, Zhuqiao Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai.

“We literally outgrew our current space,” says Pat Cotter, general manager of the Shanghai operation. “Our manufacturing and office areas were too small in the WGQ Free Trade Zone, impacting efficiency and work environments for our employees. We simply needed more room to grow.”

T&S’s new Shanghai facility operates not only as a manufacturing location, but also as the company’s sales headquarters and customer service center for China. An ISO 14001-certified operation, it is used for sourcing, inspecting, training and manufacturing, and its products meet the same standards as those manufactured in T&S’s U.S. facilities.

Located in an industrial park that is in close proximity to both an airport and shipping docks, the new T&S facility provides an additional 80,000 square feet of space. “We now have a true show room and training room for our customers and product reps,” says Cotter. “The new location in Zhu Qiao will allow T&S Brass to move forward in expanding our scope of business, making our future as bright as our new facility.”
