John "J.C." "Bud" Timmons, 78 - Marietta

John "J.C." "Bud" Timmons, 78, of Marietta, passed away March 8, 2015 at his home.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Jesse Newton and Jennie Brown Timmons. Mr. Timmons was retired from JP Stevens and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife: Mary Annette Williams Timmons; one daughter: Geraldine Timmons-Dowell (Allen); one daughter-in-law: Michelle Timmons; seven grandchildren: Shannon Ray Timmons (Kimberly), Corey Ray Timmons, Lydia Ann Timmons Buchanan (Chip), Michael David Timmons(Callie), Savanah Ray Timmons, Christopher Mazie, and Hailey Williams; five great-grandchildren: Hailey Amanda Ray Timmons, Jonathan Ray Timmons, Addy Burns, Brandon Newsome, and Rickey Lee Buchanan, III; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four sons: David Clarence Timmons, Donald Ray Timmons, Jesse Herman Timmons, and Jerry David Timmons; and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3p.m. until 4 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
