Glassy Mountain FD to address financial issues at town hall meetings

LANDRUM, S.C. – The Glassy Mountain Fire Department will hold four community town hall meetings to discuss financial issues affecting the district, it was announced Friday by Fire Chief Robert Staples.

Meetings are scheduled for the following date/locations:

• Friday, March 20 (5 p.m.) – The Cliffs Valley (Clubhouse)

• Tuesday, March 24 (6:30 p.m.) – Lima Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (3830 Hwy. 11, Travelers Rest)

• Thursday, March 26 (6:30 p.m.) – GMFD Oak Grove Fire Station (301 Oak Grove Rd., Landrum)

• Thursday, April 9 (5 p.m.) – The Cliffs at Glassy (Ballroom)

“This will be an opportunity to learn about Glassy Mountain Fire Department, the services we provide, and the financial issues affecting our district over the next 5-10 years,” Staples said.
