This weekend: Swamp Rabbit Cyclebration at Gateway, Pleasant Ridge
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The third annual Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Cyclebration will be held on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 at Travelers Rest's Gateway Park and Pleasant Ridge County Park, located just north of town on Highway 11.
The family-friendly event was created to celebrate the success of the popular System Swamp Rabbit Trail, and all proceeds help support area greenways and the JFA Trail at Pleasant Ridge, according to organizers Greenville County Rec and the Greater Greenville Parks Foundation.
Scheduled events include XC short track mountain bike races, a pleasure mountain bike race, and an evening ride to downtown Greenville. (Flier below.)
There are also daytime distance rides – including a 10-mile family fun ride along the Swamp Rabbit Trail as well as 40 and 70-mile rides which will venture into northern Greenville County – that will cater to riders of every experience and ability level.
Gateway Park is located at 115 Henderson Drive.
Pleasant Ridge County Park is located at 4232 SC-11, Marietta.
