Bonnie Jeanne Helmic Ford, 67 - Travelers Rest

Bonnie Jeanne Helmic Ford, 67, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, at her home.

Born on April 30, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Frank Arnold and Margaret Etta Roe Helmic. Mrs. Ford was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Travelers Rest Order of the Eastern Star. Bonnie and her husband were home missionaries with Village Missions in AZ, OR, ME. She had a deep love and burden for children. Later, she worked as a hairdresser.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Arthur Ford; two daughters, Lisa Goodwin (Douglas) and Leah Ward (Weldon); two brothers, Danny Helmic (Carolyn) of Lansing, MI and David Helmic (Sharon) of Olive Branch, MS; one grandson, Luke Wheat.

Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Ford on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park with visitation prior from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

A memorial service will also be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 106 Cox St., Travelers Rest, SC 29690.

The family will be the home.
