Lillie Margaret Arnette Howell, 90 - Travelers Rest

Lillie Margaret Arnette Montgomery Howell, 90, of 55 Tigerville Rd., wife of the late John Barron Howell, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at her home.

Born July 13, 1924 in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel, Jr. and Earle Carter Montgomery. Mrs. Howell graduated from Travelers Rest High School and Draughns Business College. She was a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames XVII Century, Colonial John Robins Chapter, South Carolina Genealogical Society Greenville Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy Fort Sumter Chapter, being a Real Grand Daughter. Mrs. Howell was a homemaker and a member of Berea First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a special nephew, Jim Morgan and his wife Karolyn, sons Barron and Grant his wife Jessica, their daughter Olivia and many other loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Anna and J.G. Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM Friday prior to the service at The Howze Mortuary.
