Christine Cato, 91 - Travelers Rest

Bessie Christine (Black) Cato, 91, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at The Arboretum of the Woodlands at Furman in Greenville, SC.

Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee Black, Sr. and Ella Christine Springs Black. She was a homemaker, volunteer and active church member at Travelers Rest United Methodist Church.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years: Lloyd Ross Cato, Sr. of The Woodlands at Furman; sons: Lloyd (Kathy) Cato, Jr. of Hampton, VA and Harry (Kris) Cato of Columbia, SC; daughters: Ernie Brown of Travelers Rest, SC and Cindy (Earl) Quarles of Ninety Six, SC; brother: Query Black of Charlotte, NC; sister: Doris Walters of Raleigh, NC; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Christine was predeceased by 4 brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be Monday, April 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Travelers Rest United Methodist Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at the church Family Life Center

Private burial will be at the church cemetery.
