One dead following stabbing in Travelers Rest

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – A 30-year-old Greenville man died after being stabbed at a home in Travelers Rest, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

Coroner P. Parks Evans said Christopher Reeves was involved in a physical altercation at a home on Love Drive and was subsequently stabbed.

Reeves attempted to drive himself to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries near the fire station on Poinsett Highway.

Travelers Rest Police Chief Lance Crowe said he did not believe there was a threat to the general public, but no arrest has been made in the case at this time.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed Wednesday, Evans said.
