Updated: Section of Swamp Rabbit Trail in Greenville reopens
Update (07/02/15): According to officials, the section of trail that was closed for improvements will reopen at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, one day ahead of schedule.
GREENVILLE, S.C. – A section of the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail is closed as crews make crossing improvements near an active railroad line.
The affected section is in Greenville, between Willard Street and W. Washington Street (between mileposts SR325 and SR317).
The temporary closure of this trail segment prevents continuous, full-length travel between Travelers Rest and Greenville.
The section of trail is expected to reopen on Friday, July 3, according to Bob Mihalic, Greenvilly County's governmental affairs coordinator.
