Travelers Rest equestrian earns high honors at Pinto World Championship Show
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Local equestrian Abbey Turner achieved high honors at the 50th Annual Pinto World Championship Horse Show, held recently in Tulsa, OK.
Turner took home three World Championship titles, one Reserve World title, three top-five ribbons and four top-ten ribbons, feats she said she would not have accomplished without her horse, HR Zip Me.
Each June, the Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc., hosts the world’s largest gathering of Pinto horses, ponies and miniatures at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex in Tulsa, Okla.
With exhibitors from 42 states and two countries, the 13-day competition showcased equines in a wide array of disciplines, including jumping, reining, driving, pleasure and halter.
