Landrum man killed in northern Greenville County motorcycle crash

LANDRUM, S.C. – A 42-year-old Landrum man was killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday morning just a short distance from his home, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

The wreck happened around 5:45 a.m. on Belue Mill Road near Oak Grove Road in northern Greenville County.

Deputy Coroner Jeff Fowler said Edward Lee Campbell lost control of his Kawasaki motorcycle and was ejected.

Campbell, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, was pronounced dead at the scene, Fowler said.

The S.C. Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office are investigating.
