Chorus singers sought for upcoming Spirit of '45 celebration
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Area chorus singers are invited to participate in the upcoming Spirit of '45 celebration in Travelers Rest.
The event aims to honor veterans of World War II and to celebrate the accomplishments of our “greatest generation”, including those that fought and the ordinary heroes who worked at home to aid the war effort.
Now in its fifth year, the annual commemoration will be held on Sunday, August 9 at 3 p.m. at the Younts Conference Center on the Furman University campus. Again this year, members of the American Legion and several other military-related organizations will contribute to the event, providing a Color Guard, bagpiper and bugler as well as displays of World War II vehicles and memorabilia. The keynote speaker will be WYFFs Michael Cogdill.
For more information about participating in the chorus, contact group director Patricia Hunt Fisher at 864-834-4468 or via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
