Joseph 'Clint' Turner, 48 - Travelers Rest

Joseph Clinton “Clint” Turner, 48, went to be with his daddy on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at his home.

Born at Fort Belvoir AFB in VA, he was the son of Rosilee Turner and the late James Leon “Jimi” Turner. He was employed with Hartness International in Greenville and was of the Baptist faith.

Clint played drums with a number of bands over the years and could play any kind of music simply by ear. He was a member of Rocky Yelton and the Hired Guns for nine years. He loved golf and any kind of “ball,” and he absolutely adored his grandson, Tylan.

Surviving along with his mother is his long time-companion, Amy McHone and her son, Lucas; son: James Dillon (Andrea) Turner; sisters: Joni (Moses) Turner-Landeros and Cheli Turner; grandson: Tylan Turner; his “cousin-brother”: Ray Turner and many loving, extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 1 until 2:45 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be addressed at a later time.

The family will be at his mother’s home.
