Woodlands at Furman launches in-home service in Travelers Rest area

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Local retirement community The Woodlands at Furman is launching a new in-home companion care service that offers care services in the comforts of one's own home.

The in-home model of care is ideal for seniors who need limited assistance but want to maintain their independent lifestyle, according to Woodlands Executive Director Kevin Parker.

Services will include assistance with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, pet care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and bathing and dressing.

“Companion Care is a natural extension of our work at the Woodlands at Furman,” said Parker said. “This in-home service is an opportunity to provide exceptional personal care to someone who may need it in a different way than what we currently offer on our campus.”

Services will be provided within a 10-mile radius of the Woodlands campus, located at 1500 Trailhead Ct. adjacent to the Furman University campus.

Parker said services will be available 24/7 but must be provided for a minimum of two consecutive hours.

For more information and/or to inquire about pricing, call Landisha Switzer, companion care manager, at (864)640-3692.
