Carroll Eugene Talley, 62 - Travelers Rest

Carroll Eugene Talley, 62, husband of Mary Beth Fricks Talley, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of Gladys Talley Poston and the late Raymond Lester Talley. Mr. Talley was employed with Duke Energy for forty-three years, was a volunteer with the Slater Marietta Fire Department for forty-two years, where he was presently serving as Commissioner, and was an avid motorcycle rider. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon.

Surviving along with his wife of forty-two years, and his mother, are a son, Kevin (Crystal) Talley; three brothers: Thomas Talley (Maurice), Mike Talley (Lynn), and Roger Talley (Judy); one sister: Dianne Knapp (Mike); three grandchildren: Austin, Garrett and Bailey Talley; and sixteen nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, Carroll was predeceased by a son, Robert Dale Talley; and one nephew: Chris Talley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in the Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Coleman Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
