Video: Travelers Rest High School recognized for Honor Flight contribution

 

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Members of the Travelers Rest High School Student Council on Sunday were recognized for the school's recent fundraising campaign which raised more than $30K for Honor Flight Upstate, a nonprofit group that sends aging veterans to Washington to visit monuments built in their honor.

The students were presented with a certificate of recognition at the annual Spirit of '45 commemoration ceremony, held in the Younts Conference Center on the Furman campus.

Paul Howell, who serves as director of Honor Flight Upstate made the presentation.
