Billie Ruth Marsh Chapman, 84 - Travelers Rest

Billie Ruth Marsh Chapman, 84, of Travelers Rest, widow of William “Bobby” Chapman, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 28, 2015 at her home, surrounded by all her family.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, maw-maw, Christian and friend and loved by all who knew her.

She was born May 29, 1931 in Spindale, N.C., The daughter of the late Charles Garland and Inez Tapley Marsh. She was a graduate of Slater Marietta High School Class of 1950.

She was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church and was a homemaker and devoted mother.

She is survived by her loving sons; Mitchell (Valerie) Chapman, Chris (Candayce) Chapman, and adoring daughters Becky (Gene) Cartee, Laurie Hicks, Lisa (Donnie) Burnett; and one brother G. Ray Marsh (MaryAnn); her 23 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby, of 65 years, and her grandson Kindle Chapman.

The visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at Cleveland First Baptist Church, with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be in Cleveland First Baptist Church Cemetery.
