Travelers Rest woman killed in Highway 11 wreck
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 60-year-old Travelers Rest woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 in northern Greenville County on Thursday.
The wreck happened around 4 p.m. near the intersection of Holcombe Rd.
According to Coroner B. Parks Evans, Tracey A. Johnson, of Integral Lane, died at the scene.
Johnson was traveling on Highway 11 when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an SUV pulling a camper, the S.C. Highway Patrol said.
One person in the SUV had to be extricated and was transported to the hospital by helicopter. Two others in the SUV, including a child, were transported by ambulance.
Firefighters with Tigerville and Glassy Mountain fire departments responded to the crash. All lanes were blocked as firefighters, EMS workers, troopers and the Greenville County Coroner's Office worked at the scene.
