Disabilities and Special Needs Board hiring, hosting job fair

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs Board is currently hiring to fill various entry level positions.

GCDSNB is a non-profit organization that provides residential care, vocational training and support services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

The agency is currently seeking compassionate and caring individuals with the desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Direct Support Professional duties:

Instruct, supervise, and assist individuals in the development of daily living skills; Assist individuals in developing appropriate social, behavioral and interpersonal skills; assist individuals with medication delivery; operate agency vehicle; prepare meals and perform routine housekeeping duties; and complete various reports regarding individual behavior and accountability.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• HS diploma or GED

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Beginning pay is $9.79 per hour, and benefits include paid vacation and sick lave, SC retirement, holiday pay, and medical and dental insurance.

All candidates selected for hire will be required to complete a pre-employment physical/drug screen and criminal background check.

No previous experience is necessary. Paid training will be provided.
