Louise Childs Taylor, 90 - Travelers Rest
Louise Childs Taylor, 90, wife of the late Harold Franklin Taylor, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2015, at NHC of Mauldin.
Born in Travelers Rest, SC on February 1, 1925, she was the only child of the late Cromer C. and Hattie Burns Childs. Mrs. Taylor was retired from Childs Clothing and Shoes. She served as pianist for several local churches as well as The Harold Taylor Trio. She was a member of Marietta First Baptist Church and the Flora Barnett Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Larry Seay of Greenville and Debbie and Roger Epps of Travelers Rest; three grandchildren, Valerie Deyton (Brian), Jeremy Darnell, and Meredith Mazza (Pete); three great-grandchildren, Bryce, Kathryn, and Emma Deyton.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Marietta First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of Brian and Valerie Deyton (granddaughter).
