Greenville County deputy crashes into building in Marietta

MARIETTA, S.C. — No injuries were reported when a Greenville County Sheriff's Office deputy crashed into an unoccupied building along Geer Highway in Marietta around 7 p.m. Sunday night, according to officials.

The deputy ran off the road and struck a building at the intersection of Geer Highway and Saluda Street.

Master Deputy Jonathan Smith said the deputy was responding to a domestic call in the Marietta area and had his lights and siren activated at the time of the wreck.

The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating.
