Ann Styles Burgess - Travelers Rest

Ann Styles Burgess, wife of Joel Folger Burgess, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2015.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Ann was the daughter of Flora Styles and the late Homer Styles.

Along with her husband and mother she is survived by her children, Robin Blakemore (Blake), Kelly Drew (Richard), JJ Burgess (Jennifer) and six grandchildren, Kellianne Blakemore Covil (Jamie), Lauren Blakemore, Ethan and Addie Drew, Lydia and Joel Burgess and several loving nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her sister, Linda S. Garland.

Ann was a lifelong member of Enoree Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years. She was a founding member of the Travelers Rest Woman’s Club and the Travelers Rest Historical Society of which she was very proud to be a part. Throughout many years, her anonymous generosity benefited many and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Enoree Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery.
