Travelers Rest man killed in Hwy. 25 crash
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 20-year-old Travelers Rest man died in a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 25 Tuesday afternoon.
The wreck happened around 3:30 p.m. near the entrance to Charlie's Fireworks, about five miles north of Travelers Rest.
Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans said Anthony Ferrigno was traveling south when he lost control, causing his vehicle to overturn in the median.
Ferrigno was transported by helicopter to the Greenville Trauma Center, where he later died.
Ferrigno was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, Evans said.
