TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Students at Travelers Rest High School recently took a positive step to better ensure their safety and the safety of others when they take the driver's seat, making a public commitment by signing the "Drive2N2" pledge with their classmates.
Promoted by State Farm Insurance Agency, the teen safety pledge/program encourages two eyes on the road and two hands on the wheel at all times.
Locally sponsored by Steve Borklund State Farm Insurance Agency and Travelers Rest High School's Student Council, "Drive2N2" is a continuation of State Farm's nationwide "Celebrate My Drive" promotion.
Car crashes are the number one killer of teens, and roads in northern Greenville County routinely rank near the top of the state's "most-deadly" list.
