Larry James Williams, 75 - Travelers Rest

Larry James Williams “Papa Louie”, 75, of Travelers Rest, passed away Friday, November 13 at his home.

Born in Travelers Rest, he was the son of Melvin Odell Williams and Mary Terry Williams. He was retired from Greenville County Schools.

He is survived by his daughters: Meri Gilreath (Ansel), Melissa Rathbone (Chris), and Diane Shrock (Ron); two sisters: Waveleen Surrett (James), and Marilyn Truett (Gary); one brother Morris Williams (Pat); and three grandchildren: Ansley Gilreath, Dylan Rathbone, and Lena Laws

Along with his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Judith Williams, and one brother: Sylvian Williams.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Memorial service will follow at 7:30 p.m. in The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

The family will be at 2203 Tigerville Rd. Travelers Rest.
