Betty Jo Tankersley, 81 - Marietta

Betty Jo Tankersley, 81, of Marietta, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Hope, Health & Rehab in Marietta, SC.

Born in Greenville County, she is a daughter of the late James and Grace Oxner Barnett. Mrs. Tankersley was a homemaker and a member of Cox Chapel Baptist Church.

Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Herbert Hezzie Tankersley; five sons, Scott Tankersley, Terry Tankersley, Ricky Tankersley (Karen), Danny Tankersley (Anita) and Jimmy Tankersley (Kim); two brothers, Thomas Williams and Jimmy Barnett; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Cox Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday evening at The Howze Mortuary.
