Shop local with Travelers Rest Artists Alliance's Holiday Gift Guide

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The Travelers Rest Artists Alliance recently launched their annual Holiday Gift Guide, an effort to encourage area residents to support local artists as they are checking off items on their holiday shopping list.

“We have created the Holiday Gift Guide to not only promote the wonderful artists we have in Travelers Rest and the surrounding areas, but because we want to make shopping for a unique, one-of-a-kind gift easy,” said boardmembers.

The online guide features work by member artists and includes jewelry, sculpture, woodwork, pottery, photography, fiber arts, painting, mixed media, and more.

“When we support local artists, the economy in our area reaps the benefits," Artists Alliance boardmembers said. "A dollar spent with a local business will lead to more money staying in the community, compared to chain stores, where only a small portion is actually recirculated in the community.”
