Nominations accepted for inaugural Upstate seniors awards program
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Organizations throughout the Upstate offer multiple opportunities to recognize emerging and established leaders in the business and nonprofit communities. But when an individual reaches the end of their career or retires, these opportunities become few and far between. The Woodlands at Furman aims to bridge this gap by honoring the contributions of local seniors through the MasterPiece Living Awards.
The inaugural Masterpiece Living Awards will honor the unsung heroes in the Upstate senior community, recognizing those who continually work to better themselves and the community within the four pillars of Masterpiece Living – physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually.
Five awards will be given, one for each of the pillars listed above and one overall award for the nominee who encapsulates all four together.
Nominees must be age 62 or older, live in the Upstate, and fit the guidelines outlined on the official award form, which can be downloaded here.
“These awards are a natural extension of our lifestyle philosophy at the Woodlands,” said Andrea Payment, lifestyle director. “Seniors are a great asset to any community, and we want to honor their important impact in the Upstate.”
Awards nominations must be received by Dec. 21, 2015, and can be submitted to Andrea Payment at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or mailed to The Woodlands at Furman, 1500 Trailhead Court, Greenville, SC 29617.
