Clyde Edward Sargent, 69 - Travelers Rest

Clyde Edward Sargent, 69, husband of the late Sandra Ann Franks Sargent, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his home.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late George A. and Pauline Whitlock Sargent. He was retired from Furman University where he worked in Maintenance at the Furman University Golf Course and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is a daughter: Amy Boling and husband David; son: Barry E. Sargent and wife Elizabeth; sister: Alma Moore and husband Garvin; brothers: Harold Sargent and wife Linda and David Sargent and wife Joyce; 5 grandchildren: Alyssa Boling, Madison Boling. Erin Sargent Copelton and husband Matt, Foster Sargent and Amelia Sargent; great-grandchild: Evan Copelton; 2 step-grandchildren: Victoria Chappell and Rosaleigh Chappell.

Along with his parents and wife, Clyde was predeceased by his loving family pet dog, Spencer.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon, December 14, 2015 from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Memorial Service will be Monday afternoon, December 14, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be private.

The family will be at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.
