WDAB changing to locally oriented station, talk show hosts sought

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Over the next few weeks, Travelers Rest-based WDAB 1580-AM, will be transitioning to a locally-oriented station featuring a variety of programming, according to a station representative.

Since at least 1999, the station has operated during the daytime with a Spanish speaking format.

The cities of Travelers Rest and Berea, as well as Furman University, will be a large part of the focus of the new programming, which the representative said will include news, live sports, daily shows and specialty programming on the weekends.

As the transition begins, WDAB is looking for talented individuals who have hosted a talk show in the past or who would love to turn their passion into a daily or weekly show.
