Thelma Roberts, 72 - Marietta

Thelma Frances Askew Roberts, 72, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Marietta Hope, Health and Rehab.

Born on July 18, 1943, in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Bessie Bridwell and Robert Allan Askew and was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Joe Harold Roberts, Sr.; three sons, Joe Roberts, Jr. (Pam), Leroy Roberts and Charles Floyd Allan Roberts (predeceased); four brothers, Eddie Askew (Wanda), David Askew (Sharon), Gary Askew (Betsy), and Bud Askew; two sisters, Bobbie Alexander and Mary Lou Burry; six grandchildren, Anthony Lee, Sheila Marie, Christina Katelyn, Kylie Cheyenne, Hannah and Charlie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with visitation prior from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, formerly known as Grandview Memorial Park.

The family will be at their respective homes.
