Betty Monroe, 81 - Travelers Rest

Betty G. Monroe, 81, of Travelers Rest, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at The Woodlands.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of Ansel and Willie Mae Ducker Garrett. Mrs. Monroe was a homemaker and a member of Slater U.M.C.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Roy Lee Monroe, Jr. of the home and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, William Lee “Bill” Monroe and a brother.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday morning at Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday morning at The Howze Mortuary.

Following the service the family will greet friends at the home of the late Charles H. Monroe, Sr., 12 Palafox Road Ext. Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
