Travelers Rest's Lance Mello graduates law enforcement basic training

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Lance Mello, Travelers Rest Police Department's newest officer, graduated from the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy’s basic training last Friday. 

Officer Mello, who officially joined the Travelers Rest force in September, will now complete the department's eight-week field training program, where he will receive “real world” training under the guidance of several different TRPD officers.

"Please join us in welcoming Officer Mello to the Travelers Rest community," said Chief Lance Crowe.
