Willie James Swayngham, 70 - Travelers Rest

Willie James Swayngham, 70, of Travelers Rest, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Oconee County, SC, he was the son of the late Ruzell Howard Queen the late Willie Swayngham. Mr. Swayngham was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam; he was retired from the Woodside Beattie Plant and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife Veda Marie Chadd Swayngham; six children, William Queen (Stephanie), Kevin White, Albert White, Jr., Connie Clay (Tony), Betty Moss (James) and Cindy Swayngham (Kevin); a brother, Ranny Queen (Diane); 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his Step-father, Charles Queen, Jr. and a brother, Jerry C. Queen.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, January 11, 2015 at The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Coleman Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 am until 12 pm on Monday prior to the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
