Marietta woman killed in Poinsett Highway wreck

GREENVILLE, S.C. — A 26-year-old Marietta woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Poinsett Highway near the entrance to Furman University around 10:15 on Friday night.

Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans said Elizabeth Danielle Hudson was the driver of a vehicle that crossed the center median and both lines of northbound traffic before striking a tree.

Hudson, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene, Evans said.
