James Woodward Sr., 64 - Travelers Rest

James “Barry” Woodward, Sr., 64, of Travelers Rest, husband of Lorraine Woodward, died Saturday, January 23, 2016.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Woodward was a son to the late William N. and Doris James Woodward.

Mr. Woodward served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Woodward is survived by a daughter, Shannon Adams; a son, James B. Woodward, Jr. (Tricia); two grandchildren, Lilly and Grant Adams; three sisters, Diane Merryman, Joan Ledford, and Patty Labeck; and a brother, William “Skip” Woodward.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow.
